Made from a heavy casting alloy that will not rust or corrode. To achieve the raised lettering and a high relief motif each sign is individually cast using the traditional sand casting process. The foundry-men make a mould of the sign into which the molten metal is poured. After cooling, the mould is broken open and the sign removed. It is then cleaned, primed and stove enamelled. The last stage is the hand painting of the lettering and motif.
HOLES
Holes will be drilled in the most suitable positions unless requested to the contrary on your order, i.e. holes for hanging the sign, or fixing to a vertical post.
PUNCTUATION
Arrow, commas, hyphens, accents, ampersands (&), dashes, etc. and foreign punctuation can all be accommodated on the sign. If you do require any punctuation, do please mark your order clearly.
LAYOUT
Our order form has an area where you give layout instructions or you can attach a sketch of how you would like the sign to look. If your instructions are not clear, we will contact you before we start.
MOTIFS
We have over 300 colour motifs to choose from. These include ranges of flowers, birds, trees, dogs, farm, horses, wild animals, fish, seaside, buildings and more.
