Engraved Brass Memorial Plaques

Brass is the traditional material for memorial plaques. For the deeper engraving (as oppossed to scratch engraved) the letters must be at least 10mm high and can be infilled with black, white, blue, green, orange, red or left unpainted. The main disadvantage with brass is that if you want it to stay shiny, it must be constantly polished. We have wooden backing boards and tree stakes if required. Backing boards are usually made in Oak. However we do have Sapele (similar to mahogany) and Iroko (similar to teak). If you want a specific timber, please state it on the order form.

SIZES
Prices include 50 characters.
Extra letters £5.50 per 50.

Minimum letter height  - 10mm. (can be slightly smaller for arial)
UPPER CASE LETTERS (include spaces)  2-3 per inch
Lower case letters (include spaces) 3-4 per inch
Letter size does change with different fonts. The arial font takes up least room.
Minimum height for 3 lines of text is 2", for 4 lines - 3", for 5 lines -  4" and for 6 or 7 lines - 6"

LINE BORDER
This can  be included at no extra cost but this will reduce the maximum characters per line by 3 and the number of lines by 1

HOLES
Holes can be drilled at no extra cost.

LETTERS
 Letters can left unpainted or can be paint filled @ £2.75 A selection of fonts is shown below.

PICTURES
We can include simple pictures on the signs. We have a selection CLICK HERE - or you can send in you own artwork - The cost is £2.75 per standard image or £8.25 for your own artwork has been vectorised (outline/traced) in a PC format - file types AI, or EPS. £16.50 for other formats eg. jpg, tiff or bitmap or artwork to be scanned (It must be a clean silhouette style image without any very fine lines or shades)

Urgent Orders By using one of the STOCK SIZES the production time can be reduced by two working days. It is also possible to have a priority order at a cost of £11 which will reduce production time by six working days. If your plaque is for a ceremony or special event please make sure you give us the date.
