12mm Painted Slate House Signs

This range of our slate house signs are unique as we spray the whole of the slate surface with a very hard wearing paint and we then carve out the letters by sandblasting or lasering.  The result is an unusual, unique and really effective slate house sign with a modern and contemporary look to it. Using the laser we can include a lot finer detail such as line drawing and small text.

We can also sandblast away a border around the edge which leaves the centre panel raised. This does finish the sign off well.

The slate we use for these signs is 10 - 12mm thick, and can be cut to whatever size you require. You can also choose the font and letter colour, some of colours even include Farrow and Ball colours, click here to see our standard colours.Images can also be included.

The standard colours for the painted colour are black and white as well as Farrow & Ball Lichen (light green) Purbeck Stone (light grey) , but we can also use any of our standard colours  at an extra £5.  If it is not a colour we stock we can match a RAL colour or Farrow and Ball colour for an  extra £55.  

The paint we use is a two component polyurethane paint which is far more durable than standard paints and is more tougher and longer lasting and is also more resilient to chemicals.

The face of the slate is sanded off to a very smooth finish, and both the face and the sides are painted, and then the carved lettering is left to show the colour of the natural slate.

We do suggest using an adhesive to attach your sign as having holes drilled into it may spoil the overall look of your sign.
