Champion Manufacturer Of The Year!!
We recently had the opportunity to attend The North Devon Manufacturing Awards, hosted by the NDMA. It was a wonderful evening of celebration and community, and a fantastic chance to catch up with those who we have not seen since before the pandemic. With the business landscape changing as it has over the past couple of years, we were in awe of the successes of so many North Devon businesses. The hard work and dedication of those in our local area inspired us and will continue to do so going forwards.
In light of the evident success of the businesses around us, we were surprised, but delighted, to be named as the NDMA’s ‘Champion Manufacturer Of The Year’! Nothing could have prepared us to win this award, though we are thrilled to see The Sign Maker celebrated in this way. The award acknowledged our commitment to social causes while taking into account our growth as a business, the challenges we’ve overcome, and our plans going forward. The presentation made special mention of our ‘Queen Bee Project’, our growing presence across social media, and our success as a small to medium-sized business. There aren’t words enough to express our gratitude to the NDMA for selecting us from the many businesses represented throughout the evening - the recognition means so much to our whole team.
Who Are The Sign Maker and What Is Next For Us
The Sign Maker is a Devon-based, family-run sign-writing company specialising in bespoke, high-quality signs and memorials. We have been established for over twenty years and have grown considerably in that time with a workforce now of over 20 individuals (including our directors, Kate and Shaun Price, and four of their five children). From house signs and nameplates to business signs and memorials, we craft using timber, vinyl, metal and stone. We are proud to operate with a sustainable ethos that runs through the veins of the business.
With numerous projects currently on the go for us, we are constantly pushing ourselves to the next level of design and production so that we are crafting the very best signage for you. Alongside this, environmentally, we are currently looking at incorporating a micro-forest onsite for the local wildlife and we are evaluating additional sources of renewable energy. There is so much to be excited about and expectant for going forward and we hope that you’ll come along with us for the ride.
