Welsh blue slate is the best slate in the world. It is harder, denser, stronger and therefore more hard wearing. It is free from other minerals or pyrite - thus cleaner looking finish with less markings than other slates.  #

- These slate memorials are quite unique being made from Lakeland Green Slate which is quarried from a very small quarry in the Lake District. The slate is not only incredibly beautiful but it is also hard and weathers very well.
