Information
Our wooden ladder signs with 3 panels are ideal for entrance signage on a business park or at the end of a drive leading to more than one house. If you are wanting more panels on the same two posts let us know all the details and we can put a quote together for you. They can be made from either natural oak or iroko wood with painted engraved lettering, or we can make painted wooden ladder signs in many colours.
Most of our painted signs are made in oak but you do not have to have oak posts, there are other options available. Oak is the heaviest and the longest lasting, Sapele is a moderately durable hardwood which paints well. Then the cheapest is to have softwood posts, but these do not last as long as the hardwood posts.
PLEASE NOTE - YOU CAN ONLY HAVE THE NATURAL OAK FINISH IF ORDERING AN OAK SIGN AND OAK POSTS (NOT SOFTWOOD OR TRICOYA)
The beautiful grain within the oak is still visible beneath the paint, but if you prefer not to see the grain then we would suggest you opt for the painted Tricoya board for the signs. This is a tough and waterproof wood based board, Accoya is another option and is priced the same as oak. If you would like Accoya instead of oak - write this in the notes box.. Extensive testing has shown that paints can last up to three times as long on Accoya than on other timbers. We use a two component polyurethane paint, which is more durable than standard brush on paints. It is not only much tougher and longer lasting, but is also more resilient to chemicals.
Our natural oak signs have carved and painted letters and are first treated with a wood preservative and then varnished with a tough satin finish commercial varnish. They are then finished with woodcare milk to extend the varnish life. Signs with white lettering are treated with Osmo Oil. Iroko signs are treated with Devon Oil.
There are also a selection of post caps to choose from.
Choose from a wide range of fonts with lots of letter colour choices. Images can also be included.
We aim to make your wooden ladder sign just the way you want it - specify any extra details in the box entitled 'notes'
You can pay online with a card, by phone, by cheque, by BACS or by Amazon.
