Large Wooden Celtic Cross

This is a beautiful wooden cross which can be made in Oak. Iroko or painted Sapele (a very stable hardwood) The oak can be treated with commercial satin varnish or Osmo Oil. Iroko is similar to teak and full of its own oil - we just finish it with Devon Oil. For painted crosses the colour white is normally chosen but other colours are available.  For a high gloss finish and even longer life we can spray the whole cross in Coach-Kote.

Lettering is laser engraved directly onto the plaque. Letters do not need to be painted but we can paint them black providing the lettering is not too small. Images can also be added, we have a large selection to choose from. The cost includes the Celtic images.

An optional extra to make the erection easier is a wrought iron support stake  or stainless steel support bar.

To make these crosses the timber planks have been laminated in opposite directions to give strength and stability to the memorial cross.
