These signs are quite unique and they combine the skills of a number of craftsmen. Firstly a carpenter selects the timber and creates the initial sign blank. We suggest using Sapele as it paints well and is a dark timber so good contrast between paint and letters. However Oak or Accoya are also good choices. The sign then goes to the spray shop to be painted and then onto the laser room. Here the technician laser through the paint and engraves the detail into the wood beneath.
Finally it is back to the woodwork shop to have the lettering oiled or the whole sign treated with Coach-Kote. This is a high gloss clear coach enamel ideal for exposed situations.
These signs can be painted any colour from our standard stock paints
The price includes up to 50 letters, however extra letters can be added at a cost of £3 per 50 letters. Choose from a wide range of fonts with lots of letter colour choices . Images can also be included.
We suggest you fix your sign using an outdoor adhesive. However we can drill holes if your prefer. We can also make posts for the sign but these are not included in the price.
