An effective yet simple wooden house sign which can be bedded into the grass verge at the entrance to your house.  These signs are generally made from very long lasting tricoya board which is 18mm thick and is cut into the shape of a hockey stick. For the XL and XXL sizes the tricoya sheets are laminated together for thicker signs.  Tricoya is a wood based product which is made using a high performance resin, and is very stable, strong, durable and weatherproof.  The tricoya itself comes with a 50 year guarantee.  It is also environmentally friendly.

These signs come in any of our standard colours, black, white, F&B Purbeck Stone (pale grey) or F&B Lichen (pale green).  We can also paint them in cream, heritage green, F&B Estate No.84 (green blue), F&B Stiffkey Blue, French Grey and other stock colours at an extra £5 per order.  Click here to see our stock colours.  You choose the background colour and the letter colour.  For any colours which we don't keep in stock there is an extra £55 per colour per order.  We can match Farrow & Ball, Dulux and RAL colours. 

We have four standard sizes for these signs but as always we can make these hockey stick signs at a bespoke size just the way you would like it.

The medium hockey stick sign is 1.2m high and 75mm across.  
The large hockey stick sign is 1.6m high and 100mm across. 
The XL hockey stick sign is 36mm thick and is 1820mm high and 150mm across
The XXL hockey stick sign is 54mm thick and is 1820mm high and 150mm across

The lettering is painted on both sides of the sign.  NB We do apply several coats of our tough commercial paint so the stencilled letters will feel very slightly raised to the touch.

We suggest that you bed 450 - 600mm into the grass verge.

For an extra finish you can have your hockey stick sign coated with Coach-Kote which is a  a clear coach enamel.  It is a long oil resin based product which means it has a long molecular structure which gives it much more durability, flexibility and toughness than any other varnish.  This is ideal for exposed situations and unlike most other varnishes it also has a UV filter added to it, giving it an even better protection outside.  It is a clear version of the coach enamel which is used on the Queen's carriages at Buckingham Palace.
