Information

There are times when a painted wooden backing board looks more appropriate than a natural wooden backing board. This is particularly the case with the more modern engraving materials.

For the painted wooden backing boards we normally use either Sapele or Tricoya Sapele is a sustainable hardwood and very stable - ideal for painted signs. Tricoya is a very durable timber made from Accoya Shavings and Resin.

When finding the price of a backing board you will need to add about 1 " 25mm to the size of the plaque. eg plate 4" x 6" will need a backing board 5" x 7".
