Welsh blue slate is well known to be the best slate in the world. It was formed 600 million years ago, much older than most other slate. This is one of the reasons it is harder, denser, stronger and therefore more hard wearing. These factors, along with a negligible water absorption rate, makes it perfect for high quality slate signs. It is also very pure and virtually free from other minerals or pyrite - thus cleaner looking finish with less markings than Brazilian slate.

It is 20mm thick and can be cut to whatever size you require. You can also choose the font and paint colour including some Farrow and Ball colours, click here to see our standard colours. There is also gold and silver which would look amazing on this slate. Images can also be included.
