Here at The Sign Maker we have the very best carpenters, which means we can make shaped backing boards and plaques to your exact measurements if required. 

We have provided a range of sizes suitable for awards, taxidermy and trophy shields. The 19mm oak shields are made from joined boards and are only suitable for indoor use, whereas the 24mm shields can also be used outside. The sapele shields are usually made from one board and can be used inside or out.  Sapele is a deep red timber similar to mahogany. If you have any special requests please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you require a brass plaque or wording lasered into the backing board - write this in the notes box and we will contact you with the cost.


We aim to make your wooden plaques and backing boards just the way you want it - specify any extra details in the box entitled 'notes'
