Silver Anodised Aluminium Name Plate
In the engraving workshops at The Sign Maker we engrave all kinds of materials, each one having its own particular advantages. One of the strong points of anodised aluminium is that it is harder than brass and therefore less likely to scratch than some of softer metals such as brass. Also it does not tarnish. It looks most appropriate in a modern setting. However it cannot be used for small letters - under 10mm - or for images with fine detail. Lettering looks best in black or blue and we can supply backing boards if required.
For a stylish house number plaque with a contemporary look - with or without a backing board.
Some of our materials look much better with a painted wooden backing board rather than a natural wooden backing board, particularly our more modern engraving materials. *
