These heavyweight plinths are made from beam quality oak - hence the interesting cracks which are bound to appear. They do not affect the strength of the timber. The green oak is likely to form more cracks than the seasoned oak.
The angled top is cut at 30 degrees. Plaques can be screwed into the top as well as on the front. It is possible to fit wooden plaques with wooden dowels.
They can be treated with Devon Oil, Osmo Oil, a black preservative or left untreated
