Stone Memorials

- We can use our powerful lasers to etch wording and images onto the surface of the slate. This is ideal for detailed images or wording too small to deep engraved into the slate.

- Laser etching on the surface of slate (12mm, 20mm, 30mm & 50mm) is ideal for memorials which require small text  or where an image with fine detail is required. Can include a photo too. Good Value. *

- These slate plaques with rough, random edges are truly unique, each one handcrafted into irregular shapes using a hammer and chisel. Available in two thicknesses and two sizes, they offer a distinctive look but do cost more than square-edged slate due to the time and craftsmanship involved.

- These  black granite memorials can be attached to wrought iron tree stake with one or two spikes depending on size.

The Celtic Grey Granite is particularly suited to a matt finish and with carved lettering painted a dark colour, these memorials look absolutely amazing.

- This range of  slate memorials is unique in that we spray the whole of the slate surface with a very hard wearing paint and we then laser etch the design into the slate.

Welsh blue slate is the best slate in the world. It is harder, denser, stronger and therefore more hard wearing. It is free from other minerals or pyrite - thus cleaner looking finish with less markings than other slates.  #

These slate memorials are quite unique being made from Lakeland Green Slate which is quarried from a very small quarry in the Lake District. The slate is not only incredibly beautiful but it is also hard and weathers very well.  #

30mm slate is ideal for larger slate memorials or memorial tablets to be laid on the ground or embedded into a lawn. #

The 20mm limestone is an unusual stone, look at it closely and you can often see fossils especially in the white. It is ideal if you want a light coloured stone. The best letter colours are black, dark brown, dark green or stiffkey blue.
