Welsh Blue Slate Memorials - 20mm thick - Premium Quality

Welsh blue slate is well known to be the best slate in the world. It was formed 600 million years ago, much older than most other slate. This is one of the reasons it is harder, denser, stronger and therefore more hard wearing. These factors, along with a negligible water absorption rate,  makes it perfect for high quality slate signs. It is also very pure and free from other minerals or pyrite - thus cleaner looking finish with less markings than Brazilian slate.

The slate we use for these memorials is 20mm thick and can be cut to whatever size you require. You can also choose the font and paint colour including some Farrow and Ball colours, click here to see our standard colours. 

Images can also be included. As well as our standard images, you can ask our designer to find you an image or send in one of your own. You can even send us a good-quality photograph. For detailed images and photographs, we use a laser to etched out the image. This is an excellent method for crests to be included on the memorial.

We can cut the slate down to smaller sizes if required.
