Wooden Headstone

We usually make our wooden headstones from a timber called Iroko. It is full of its own oil and is very durable and attractive. It is more rot proof than any other timber we have. Letters are normally left unpainted but we can paint them if requested.  The most attractive timber to use is oak, but oak will need more maintenaince. We would suggest Osmo Oil treated twice a year. If you want us to use oak treated with Osmo Oil let us know in the notes box.

You can leave the timber untreated or to keep it looking as new rub over with Devon oil every couple of months. 

The headstone itself is morticed into the heavy base so it becomes free standing. If required we can inset a full colour porcelain plaque to include a photo.

Instead of the base we can add an extra 400mm of timber to bury into the ground .
